Start where your organization is

Choose by how you begin, by the role you play, or by the framework you answer to. Every path ends at the same controls and evidence.

By starting point

Three ways in

You do not have to begin with an audit, and you do not have to begin with everything.

Business-led

“We need to run well.”

Start with Operational Excellence: requirements from a template library, then policies and procedures down to individual steps. Audit or risk demands may come later, or never.

Audit-led

“Audit told us what must be controlled.”

Start with Governance at your procedures. Bring what you have and attach controls. Each demand becomes a control inside the procedure where the work happens, with its origin recorded.

Explore Governance
Both

“We want both.”

Every control traces from mission to evidence, whichever direction it came from. Operational Excellence designs it from the top down, and Governance proves it from the bottom up.

By role

What each person works with

Six roles share one record. Each sees the part that is theirs.

Executive sponsor

Sees the health of the organization, not just its audit status: policy coverage, procedure maturity, control effectiveness and audit readiness on one set of dashboards.

Risk manager

Keeps the risk register, with each risk linked to the requirements it threatens, and watches the evidence the controls produce.

Policy owner

Drafts policies from requirements, then takes them through review, approval and publishing. Publishing asks for a fresh identity check.

Control steward

Owns the controls attached to procedures and to the exact steps where the work happens, so doing the job right and proving it are the same act.

Compliance manager

Follows each control to the evidence it produces, sees how long every item stays current, and is warned when it goes stale.

Internal auditor

Scopes an engagement by framework, fixes the evidence population when fieldwork opens, records what was tested, and sends findings back as controls to add.

By framework

SOC 2, HIPAA and more

Bhor OE supports the frameworks your program is measured against.

SOC 2

Bhor OE helps you build and run a SOC 2 program: it maps your requirements to the Trust Services Criteria, drafts the policies, and collects the evidence an auditor asks for.

HIPAA

Bhor OE helps covered entities and business associates manage HIPAA Security Rule and Privacy Rule requirements, from policy to evidence.

Also supported

ISO 27001, NIST and GDPR.

ISO 27001NISTGDPR

Framework mappings are provided to support your program. Using Bhor OE does not by itself make an organization compliant with any standard.

Pick the sentence that sounds like you. You can adopt the rest later.

Business-led

Start with Operational Excellence

Start from your business mission. A template library of good requirements gets you to a working set quickly, and policies and procedures, down to individual steps, follow from it. Audit or risk demands may come later, or never, and the controls you design are already in place when they do.
